“August is like the Sunday of summer” -unknown
As an Arizona girl, I’m always ready for August to roll around. Don’t get me wrong I love summer and all it has to offer – swimming, bbqs, copious amounts of rosé – but at this point the heat has gotten to me and I’m ready to cool off a bit! However before that I’m all about savoring the last moments of summer which means weekends by the pool (in the shade of course), hair back and simple statement jewelry, gingham, in season ingredients, sunsets and wearing all the white I can before Labor Day passes by.
Another reason I like August is growing up it was always the beginning of a new school year which meant a fresh start. As an adult I’ve turned it into a second chance for making and keeping resolutions I might have flopped on in the previous months.
All in all August is about savoring, sipping and setting yourself up for success to finish the out the rest of the year 🙂
